Dear all,
I have made an appointment with Oklahoma Blood Institute coordinator to discuss further about the blood drive for Danny Tan, who is diagnosed Acute Myeloblastic Leukaemia. According to Tarah Scott, the coordinator, any non-Caucasians (non-White) that wish to give a try will be given free blood test at OBI, between 33rd and Boulevard in Edmond, Oklahoma (2 miles south of UCO), from 7am to 6pm on weekdays. The only requirement is a pint of blood from the potential donor in exchange for the blood test (which usually costs about $40). We can go to OBI individually or in a group. Please spread these word to your fellow Asian friends.
On the other hand, UCO Malaysian Students Association will have a Fall Graduation Dinner on Saturday, Dec 14, 2002 7pm at University Center Room 301. During the dinner, there will be a charity piano performance, and an auction (items available are Chinese paintings, TV, Quilts, magazines, watches, etc.) Any items wished to be sold can be brought to me by Thursday, Dec 12. The tickets for Graduation Dinner are open for sale now. You can get them from any MSA officers or Malaysian student representatives. They are $10 each, 50% of the profit will go to Danny's Medical Fund. Please give us a hand. Help us save a life--save our friend, Danny.
Yours truly,
Yin Hwee Chua
